The Sword 04:01
Well I told her I won't waste anymore of her time And then I heard her say that she had been way out of line Then I forced her to be more than she thought she could be And then I warned her that he might not be all she could see I know he's not worth all he wrote I saw a sword at his throat I know her thoughts are gone with the rain Because he's not always the one to blame I finally taught him the only way to use a gun And then I saw him pull the trigger on his only son I know he's not worth all he wrote I saw a sword at his throat I know her thoughts are gone with the rain Because he's not always the one to blame He got his sword stuck in stone He'll have to back down from his thrown Well it might loosen when his grown But for now he'll have to find his way I know he's not worth all he wrote I saw a sword at his throat I know her thoughts are gone with the rain Because he's not always the one to blame

It's 5AM, the night is gone, face in the dirt and I finally met the rocks The silence screams as the morning comes, the sun it burns as I wake up at the docks The rain is loud, I'm as cold as fuck, I packed by bags but somehow I missed the plane I woke up back-broke and drunk on the backseat of an old cavalry train But I will never let you take it I know if all else fails the dark will come and pull me back And I will never let you near it Because I know if you call that I will not come running back to you I met a girl who drank gin by the bottle, I felt her pull as she dragged me to the ground She woke up dazed because she'd drunk too much, she cut her ties and finally fled this town She left a book with a hand-stitched bow, an old photo in a bashed and battered frame I woke up heart-broke and cold on the backseat of an old cavalry train But I will never let you take it I know if all else fails the dark will come and pull me back And I will never let you near it Because I know if you call that I will not come running back to you
